Nicole Scott-Amin

Nicole holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa. She also holds an advanced college diploma in Applied Museum Studies as well as a graduate certificate in teaching English as a second or foreign language.

She developed her passion for education while working at several community-level museums and while working as an instructor at Algonquin College in the Applied Museum Studies program. During her time at Algonquin, Nicole also had the opportunity to work directly with students as a Laboratory Technician, Teaching Assistant, and Academic Adviser. Her passion grew as she saw the impact that individualized interaction with students could have on both their outlook on education and their academic performance.

In the future Nicole hopes to be able to blend her experience in the classroom with her passion for public history to provide people with opportunities to interact with history in hands-on ways.

Nicole is currently the grade 4 and 5 educator at Tarbiyah Learning.
